Merry Christmas! 2011 was such a wonderful year for our family and we have so much to be grateful for. We had an amazing Christmas and spent it with Brian's family. We are currently living with them right now until we move into our new home. They have been so kind and generous to let us crash with them for a couple of months. I am ready to be in my own home though. Only a couple more months until we can move out. It seems like it can't come soon enough. I am so looking forward to what 2012 has to offer us. I know it is going to be a good year! Here are some of the things that I want to accomplish...

*I know every one's New Years resolution is to lose weight... well I am going to lose 10 lbs and nothing is stopping me! I will keep everyone informed on my progress:) It just seems like ever since I had my baby it has been harder for me to get back to where I was used to. My body has plateaued at a certain weight.

*I need to work on some self improvement things as well... won't go into details.

*Hopefully get pregnant with baby #2 by end of summer or fall.

* Get into our new house

*And just be a more positive person

Well, there you go. Lets see how many months I can keep this up.

Boston is 10 months now! Some things he is beginning to do...

*Crawl everywhere! He is such a fast crawler and can get to anything! (I caught him with a handful of dog food in his mouth the other day..yuck!)

*He loves to clap his hands

*Say Dada and mama

*Only takes a bottle when he goes to bed or naps.

*Gets mad when you take toys away
*Stands up on everything

* knows his name really well and knows "n0"

*Still has NO teeth!

*Has been sleeping through the night since 6 months and still sleeps in till 8 or 9

*Is such an independent eater!

* Wants to crawl up the stairs any minute he has

*I have a hard time keeping him still anywhere. Church, changing his diaper, you can forget it.

I can't believe he is almost one. This year flew by.

He loves Bath time! He will play and splash around all night long if we let him.

Boston is such an independent eater now a days. He only wants to eat food that he can pick up with his hands. I don't give him too much baby food because he just turns is head and is lock lipped. I need to figure out something to do because he is such a light weight.

The Luckiest

I just have been so touched lately with feelings of gratitude. I have such an amazing life. I am lucky. Sometimes life as a mom gets monotonous staying home and not feeling productive all the time. But then I think of how blessed I am to be able to stay home with my little guy. He is the sweetest most pure person just sent from Heavenly Father. He makes me want to be a better person. Lately I have been trying to work on my individual self and becoming a better mom and wife. I am so deeply blessed by all the opportunities that have poured down from heaven. I have had so many doors open to me since I have had Boston.
Living in Saint George was not appealing to me when we first moved here. But now I cannot picture myself anywhere else. The people here are just so wonderful and I love the city. It is absolutely breathe taking. Brian's opportunity to work here with his family is the biggest blessing we can have. It opens up so many possibilities as we are raising our family. I am so happy for a wonderful, smart, and motivated husband. Any of you that know Brian know that his personality is magnetic. He has the drive to be the best at everything he sets his mind to. Such a good example to me, cause sometimes I get stuck in a rut and need some encouragement.
Sorry just a little bit of word vomit... I just wanted to express how blessed I feel. I am so lucky.

Summer Vacays... Catch up

Wowzers, it feels like I just downloaded sooo many pictures! That gives you a sense of how busy my summer was. But it was sooo much fun! We did so many cool things starting with...

Hawaii- We went to Kauai for a week in the middle of August and it was amazing! We had so much fun. Here are some pics... This one is us doing the Na Pali Coast tour. It was BEAUTIFUL!! We went on a boat and went snorkeling swam with sea turtles and dolphins. Boston came on the boat and SLEPT the WHOLE 5 hours pretty much. I guess the rocking of the boat put him to sleep.

Random picture... but we had to give away our cat. I loved her so. She was such a good kitty. This is right before she went to a new home.

4th of July in St. George. I seriously love St. George. I am so lucky to live here and be able to raise my kids here. We have the best group of friends and have made so many fun memories so far.

In May we went to my Mom's house. So much fun. She moved into a new place that has an awesome pool, workout room, golf course, parks, trails, mini- golf and basketball courts(just to name a few) So we love coming here any chance we get. Kinda like a mini resort.

In June we went up to my brother Josh's wedding. He had his reception at Thanksgiving Point and it was incredible. Such a fun reception with so many people that we love. We danced the night away!

This is when Boston was just 12 weeks old. He has grown so much since then! He was born with reddish hair(Brian was born with the same hair) so I'm curious to see what color it is going to be when his hair comes in. He is such a cutie!-Both of them:)

In May we drove to the Grand Canyon on a Saturday. It was a fun little day trip

Happy 4th of July!!

He LOVES to swim. I take him to this little fun park with water and he has so much fun!

He loves all his toys...

1. He will sit like this in his bobby for hours!! What an easy baby!

2. He is just starting to sit in his Bumbo and he loves it! He also loves his swing.

3. He LOVES bath time! He just can't wait till nighttime till we give him baths

I haven't posted a lot lately I have been sooo busy! I thought that once I quit my job at Wells Fargo I would be so bored. Lets be honest, the first 6 weeks were kinda rough, but now.... I have more stuff going on than before.

I watch my friends kid from 10-2 everyday. He is one, so two kids keep my hands full! But he is a really good kid so it is fun.

I clean Brian's mom's house every week.

I have been going to the gym like CRAZY!! The daycare watches Boston at the gym, so it makes it really easy for me to work out. He does really good there and they say he is always happy, so that gives me a much needed break.

I started my own BUSINESS!!! I am a Master Esthetician and I am now doing Eyelash Extensions, Spray tans, Nails, and Waxing! After a lot of people asking me to do it, I finally decided to do it. Things are still under construction with the business, but I am working on a Blog, so I will give more Info when its ready.

Most of all I am so HAPPY on my new life as a mom. I love my little munchkin man and want to bottle up every moment. I feel so blessed because he has been the best baby ever!! He eats good( since I switched to formula it has been SOOOO much better!) He takes naps everyday between 1-3 hrs at a time, and STILL sleeps through the night!!

He does give me some challenges too, but I am glad that I am over that exhausted, learning stage that the first 4 weeks bring. I am so glad that he has gotten on a routine and is starting to figure out life better.

My Blog is going through a Face Lift, So I will try and post more when I have time!!

P.S.- I'm going to HAWAII in 4 weeks and I'm so excited!!!

Boston Update

Well the last week has been crazy! It has been the longest, emotional, and stressful week I have had in a long time. Let me just start from the beginning. Sorry these pictures are out of order, they are all kinda backwards to how the events happened.
Last Sunday was Boston's baby blessing. We had SO many people at our house. We had ALL of my family, and their kids over. We also had ALL of Brian's family over too. We loved having everyone. Sunday I started noticing that Boston was acting different. He was sleeping a lot(like for 7 hours at a time) Which is every parents dream, but not normal for my baby. He also did not want to eat. Which is odd, because he usually is a really good eater.
Then all my family left on Sunday and Brian was leaving the next morning to go on a business trip till Friday. Monday morning came around and Boston was really fussy and crying a lot. I took his temperature and it was 100.7 so I decided to take him into the doctor. What made me worried was because when he was born they said if he ever had a temperature over 100.4 to get him in to the doctor. Luckily I was able to get in right away and the doctor could see him.
I get to the doctor and he realizes that something is not right with him. He said that in a child this small with a temp like that he would usually admit them into the hospital and they would have to do a spinal tap on him. But first they were going to check his blood to see if anything fishy was going on. That was the first of many pokes that were going to come this last week.
To make a long story short he was admitted to the hospital Monday night. They had to do a spinal tap on him, catheter twice, IVs, blood work, and keep him isolated. They weren't sure what was wrong but they had an idea that it was bad.
The blood work came back and he had a strep pneumonia virus aggressively growing in his blood. He said that I absolutely did the right thing and if I would have waited another day he would have been with a 103 temp and in the ICU for weeks. They then told me he would have to have a picc line( an IV they have to surgically put in that runs up your arm into your chest). After an hour of trying they could not get the line in and we had to figure out another option for him to get his medicine.
He was released on Thursday after noon, but he had to leave with an IV in his hand and a nurse had to come to my house everyday and give him his medicine.

I am so glad that I listened to my "mothering instinct" and the spirit and took this little boy in. If I would have waited one more day it could of been so much worse. My doctor told me this happens to 1 in 100 children that they have something like that growing in his blood. Well.. I guess he won the lottery cause he was the 1 child.

Here is the little guy at the hospital. Brian was gone the whole time until Thursday afternoon. I kept updating him and sending him pictures. I think that was the hardest thing to handle all of this by myself. Luckily I had good friends that came and stayed with me and Brian's parents.

Well the last 6 weeks have been quite a learning experience!! Boston is getting bigger and bigger each day. He is sleeping better at night and is usually a pretty good baby. It has been an adjustment going from working full time, to staying home and taking care of this little one. Especially when he sleeps most of the day! It has been fun though and each day brings something new. Here are just a few pictures...

We tried not taking him out the first couple of weeks so he wouldn't get sick. But then Brian ended up getting him sick at our house, so I was like "Whatever! We are taking him out." I think that was the worst part the 1st couple of weeks(and breastfeeding). Once we have been able to him out it has been a lot better.

Boston is here! He was born March 14th at 7:21 am. He was 7 lbs 4 oz and 21in long. He came a week early. We were at his grandparents eating dinner and my back started to hurt. I just thought that it was cause I was sitting too long. Then I went home and was in the bathroom and my water broke. I wasn't sure that was what it was at first cause I was expecting a lot more. So I called my doctor and he was like, yup you better get to the hospital. We hopped in the car and I was admitted into labor and delivery. This was at about 8 pm the night before. I got the epideral and they put me on pottasim(?) but the epideral only worked on half of my body so I was dillated to a 10 and could feel everything on my left side. Then I got really sick from all the medication and was throwing up all night, during labor, when I was pushing, when they handed him to me- It was horrible! WHen they told me to start pushing I was allready so exhausted from being sick and on top of that I was pushing for 3 hours. Boston was stuck under my pubic bone and would not come out. FINALLY they got the doctor in there and he got the suction thingy and they pulled him out. All I can say is that it was the most physically demanding thing I had ever done. I was so exhausted afterward all I wanted to do is sleep. Now Boston is 3 1/2 weeks old and is doing good. He is getting bigger and bigger every day. Sad to say Our camera was STOLEN at the hospital.. so all of our pictures are gone!! These are from our phones. I will post more as we get them

Christmas and Lately

We went down to Mesa with my family for Christmas. It was so fun to see everyone and the weather was beautiful! This is me at 31 weeks. I am getting bigger and bigger by the week! It is crazy how fast time goes. I haven't even gotten his room ready, but I think in the next 9 weeks we will have everything done for sure. We still haven't decided really on a name, once we pick one we like another one too!

It still doesn't feel like me, but I still have 15 more weeks, so I guess I will just be getting bigger from here. Emotional..

Is it just because I'm pregnant or have I always been this emotional? Yesterday was 6 years since my dad has passed away. Time goes by so fast and it really feels like yesterday too. Most of the time I'm fine and life is normal. Then a memory hits or a song comes on or I see something that reminds me of him and I can't stop myself from crying. I'm so grateful for my family and friends that have helped me out in the last 6 years. I know that through my experiences in life it will help me be there for other people who need just as much as I did. Yesterday I was thinking how unfair it was that I only had 18 short years with him, especially having a baby and growing up. I know that he would be proud of me and is there for me more than I know. Love ya dad.

22 weeks

I'm now at 22 weeks and am feeling great! My little boy is growing everyday. I can now feel his kicks more strong. Every time he kicks I hurry and try to grab Brian so he can feel, he has only felt them a couple of times. I feel so lucky to have had such an easy pregnancy so far. I am crossing my fingers that it will be this easy the whole time. We still haven't figured out a name yet. We always sit down and say, OK what should this baby's name be! We are stuck between 3 names that we like, Boston -Peyton- and Brody. I can't decide because I like them all! I will keep my growing belly posted!

Yes, I have been a slacker. I blame it partly on the fact that I've been so busy and partly because my Internet has been down forever. But we have some good news, I'm pregnant! Yes I am 15 weeks pregnant and everything is going great. It had been a real struggle for us the last year or so and finally it happened. I was told by my friends to go to this new doctor and so I did. The first time I went to him he said, "Well you are young and healthy, there is no reason why you shouldn't be pregnant, I'll have you pregnant in the next 3 months." I thought to myself I am not going to get my hopes up, and what do you know, a month later I peed on a stick and two beautiful pink lines showed up.
I couldn't believe my eyes. Brian couldn't believe it either, so he made me go buy another pregnancy test and I went into my doctors and they drew my blood just to make sure.:) So blessings do happen and everything happens for a reason. I guess its true when people say that when you stop worrying about it, it will happen. I am so grateful that things are ok and we are excited to be having (they think a baby boy) in March. And the best part about it all, I have not been sick or felt different at all. Just a little more tired in the first trimester. This was just tiny reminder to me whose in charge and is calling the shots:) Definitely not me

Today Started off bad.

I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and was scared about the upcoming events.

Today I had to get an MRI

I wish I wasn't nervous but somehow I felt scared.

I wanted to hope that they would find a cure to all that I have been going through

After the MRI I felt hope.

I realized that things were going to get better and that I could have kids.

I realized that I need to listen to my gut instinct on things and do what the spirit tells me.

Today I feel excited about the future.

Today I finally felt a weight lifted off of my shoulders.

I hope things get better

I realize that they could be a lot worse.

I have a new appreciation for prayer and my Heavenly Father

Our cute new little kitty Abby. Brian's mom was driving down the road and she saw her just lost without a home. We were hanging out with his mom one night and she brought the kitty over. She asked us if we wanted it and we said no. Then she told us to play with it for an hour and to look into its eyes and see if it was the one for us. So after an hour I think you know the outcome.. Brian said that he would only take Abby if his mom would support her for a year. So whala! She went to Petco and bought us all the stuff we needed for a cat.

Bella is so funny with the cat. She is so excited to have a friend. I seriously want to video tape it. Too funny.

The White House. It was a lot different than I thought it would be. I was really cool to go here though. We saw Michelle's Garden, Obama's Basketball court and we saw someone walking Obama's dog. Everyone was like, "Hey look there's Obamas dog"

We went to Philly for a day and saw Liberty hall where the Declation of Independence was signed. That was very cool and spiritual.

We spent about $40 dollars overall trying different Philly cheese steaks. I seriously can not look at another cheesesteak for the rest of my life! It was all the boys idea

This was in the jungle at Puerto Vallarta. This was by far the funnest area to stop in. We went zip lining through the jungle. I was going so fast that I got whip lash a couple times, I could get the "break thing" down.

Our Dinner group. What a great group of people. The couple sitting next to me was from New Zealand, very nice people. The one next to them was from Scottland, and the one standing up was from Salt Lake. We hung out with the one's from Salt Lake a couple of days. Very cool couple.

The people who cleaned the room always made funny towel animals. This time they made it look like he was watching the tv.

So things have been kinda tough lately.. I think that it is because my hormones are all out of whack and I am just sick of always having to put on a tough face... so I surrender. I am sick of being so tough and am just here to say my life has been a trial lately. I know that everyone has there own little things to go through... but geez after 2 years please tell mine to stop!! They are getting old. With all the bad in life I've decided there are a couple of things that I absolutely love

I love, love, love it when my house is spotless. It makes me so Happy. I love my house and it is always nice to see it clean. I really think that a clean house makes you less stressed and is a better place for the spirit to reside. I love how Bella Is in every piture. This may sound kinda stupid but I really do love her. She keeps me company when Brian's gone and She really makes me happy. I've turned into one of those dog lovers:)

WE Just painted our bedroom wall green. I really think it turned out well. Now we just need to get more decorations and stuff... It is still a work in progress

I am In love with Big Diamond earings. They are my new Fav! I just like how elegant and fun they are. Also, I am really into big flowers on the shirt and frilly stuff..I Love my backyard. This is just one picture, I've posted many before, but it is just so cool. I always see something exciting or beautiful here. Since our backyard is a rock Mountain, we always have fun creatures. This time it was a big lizard

Next I just love Brian. What a wonderful person he is for me. He is such a hardworker and is always there supporting me. He goes on business usually once a month for business and it really makes me appreciate him that much more.

This these drinks are my vice. I know I know. Energy drinks and soda are not good for you, I've heard it a million times. But I drink them in moderation don't worry. This Rockstar is seriously my fav. cause it tastes like lemonade. And diet Coke has been my best friend lately. When I am feeling down I go get myself one and it cheers me up.. Ha I guess you could say I am in the beginning stages of an addiction.. at least I am able to admit it..

Ok so Now is the moment of truth. I am trying to lose weight. 10 lbs to be exact. I am currently at 130 and must get down to 120. I know 130 is not a lot, (depending on your height and how old you are) but for me it is. I am finding my pants to feel a little bit snugg, and quite frankly, I just want to fit in them again.. So I guess whatever weight will get me back to a size 27, I am all for. So this is what I have been reading and studying religiously.. This book is awesome!! Seriously it has changed my perspective on food. I also have been kicking my Butt at the gym. I Bike anywhere from 5-10 miles a day and run about 2. I have allready lost 3 lbs last week. (Most is probably water weight) I blame most of the weight gain to my stupid hormones. For some reason right when I decide I want to have a baby my body takes a turn for the worst and does all these crazy things to me. I guess that is how it works...Just another little thing that has made me happy..I put 2 bands around my wedding ring and I am loving it. It sounds kinda stupid but it makes me happy. I love getting stuff that is sentimental and makes you feel pretty. I love feeling pretty. Even if it means dazzling up my hand. Maybe I'll tell Brian how much it makes me happy and he will dazzle up the other one.(ha fat chance but it might be worth a try right??)

So yup,, that's it.. See I have a lot to be happy for..I have just got to enjoy all the little things. hopefully soon I will get a lot of the stressful things in life squared away so I can relax a little bit. Well.. Talk to you next post....

Well as I wrote earlier I am starting to cook more. I have two awesome sisters that can cook really good, so I decided to give it a shot, and I thought brian would appreciate it too. Yes I have been posting a lot lately(mainly bc I am on spring break this week, and have a lot of free time to my self) but I was just sooo excited about this summer I can't even contain Myself. May, June, and July are going to be such a blast. Wow I can't for all of it...

I have had a lot on my mind lately that has brought me to think about my own life. Recently a customer of mine who I saw once a week passed away from giving birth to her daughter. Thankfully the baby lived and is beautiful and healthy. But this leaves the grandma in charge to raise this itty bitty new born. Every time the Grandma comes in with this baby my heart feels so sad. NOt only cause I know how hard it is to loose someone you love, but also the new trials this mother must face.

This all just really humbles me and makes me so grateful for the people in my life and the knowledge that I know. I hope that I can always remember this situation and realize that my life is not so bad.

Now on to a better note, I must admit I haven't been the best wife to Brian as I had once promised I would be. I hardly EVER make dinner. If I do it is a piece of chicken and vegetables. That is it!! Boring! So if any of you have any favorite and easy recipes that you like to make, help me out and please share:) I think that I could be good at this cooking thing if I just gave it a shot!

I'm starting to love life more..

Its Sunday night updating my blog and thought that I needed to vent. Allthough I'm not one to spill my inner feelings often, I decided to share it with all. Brian is gone on a Business trip and so I'm left alone here in the house with only Bella. St. George is feeling more like home every day. Moving here was a challenge for me at first because that ment starting over somewhere new. The job market was hard to get into but now I am happy and settled in my job(most of the time) and have made some really good friends here that I have the feeling will be mine for a lifetime.

Recently we moved to a new ward and we are the youngest couple in there. It was a change because I had gotten used to our college ward and all the friends there. With being the youngest in the ward, we are the only ones that don't have children. Brian and I have been trying to have kids for about a year, and have had some complications. So for the first couple of times going, I have left Church feeling down in the dumps. I then get over it and move on... so with that said I have been down with feelings of self pitty and discouragement.... I felt so sick of going to the doctors, not having any family around, and no really close friends to turn to or talk to....

But today was a revelation to me... I started to realize that my heavenly father loves and that he knows what is best for me. I started to count my blessings and not feel so bad for myself. Life is so GOOD! I have been wasting so much time worrying about my health and my future! I now have been enjoying time RIGHT NOW! and life is so much better this way! I'm so excited to enjoy this time with Brian and am so blessed for his love and understanding to me.

Someone once told me before I got married that "The person you marry will decide on your future happines.." I agree and am so glad I married the right guy that is so smart and talented. I'm so excited for the upcoming year... I have a feeling its going to be a good one:)

Happy Birthday to me!! Well its only a couple of weeks late... But yes I did have a Birthday! Here are a few of the Beautiful flowers that I recieved from Brian. Love the Tullips. My work gave me the other flower arrangement. The night of my Birthday we went out to Texas Roadhouse( yes I did ride the saddle;) Then went to our house to and had Cake and Ice Cream. So fun! I can feel this year is going to be a good one!

Here are a Few things that Brian and I have been up to...
1. Went up to Salt Lake so Brian can cover a Jazz game. Brian has been blogging for the Jazz for about 2 years now, and they gave him a media pass! So he got to interview all the players and go into the locker room and stuff. This was also a good excuse to go up to Salt Lake. We stayed with Jake and Lindsey and had so much fun!

2. Played Bingo in Mesquite. I didn't know how fun that game was. We will definantley be back for more!

3. Working out at the gym. For some reason I have gained about ten pounds since we've been married, and i cannot make them go away. So Brian has been kicking my Butt at the gym and we have been eating really healthy. We are going to Cancun this April so I will let you know how it goes. :)

Here we are on New Years Eve. We watched the fireworks in St. George with all of our friends and had a blast. We have such a good group of friends here and have been so blessed. It has been nice to meet so many new friends being a newlywed and new to St. George. Brian's friends have such awesome wives and am so happy to get to know all of them. Hopefully 2010 will be our year!

We have been married for 2 years this Dec. We decided to Celebrate by going to Scottsdale to go shopping and then to Cheesecake factory! A very low key night but also very fun. Wow time sure does fly by so fast. I love you babe and am excited to spend the next couple of years with you!

Well the holiday's were just amazing. It seemed like last year went by way too fast!! This Christmas we spent a lot of time with the family. On Christmas Eve and Christmas morning we went to Brian's dad's house, then after opening presents we drove down to Arizona to be with my family. FYI not a good idea to drive on Christmas. YOu would think that there would be no traffic, boy where we wrong. It took us 9 hrs to get home! Not a fun way to spend Christmas. But we were so happy to be around family.

What is this you might ask... A dog Snuggie!! I know we've seen the commercials and we know how funny they are, and now I have one more dog to add to the snuggie sensation.. Bella!!\

Now that i have some time on my hands since school is out for the semester, I have decided to catch up on my reading, the first book that I finished was the Lost Symbol, such a good page turner, I highly recommend it!

The next book that I started is called the Hunger Games. It is the first book in the series. A friend recommended it to me and it is quite good. It is an easy read and also a page turner.
And last but not least my new favorite movie... 500 days of summer. So good!

ALso.. Brian has a lot of free time on his hands because he just finished his Masters in Business!! Good job babe I'm so proud of you!!

Happy Holidays Y'all!! I am so excited for this time of the year. I love the Christmas spirit and it reminds me of all the stuff that I'm grateful for. I've been touched by a lot of different people lately and find myself getting teary-eyed because of the kindness of others.. I gues it is just what this time of year brings!

Some of the things that I am grateful for:

A Wonderful husband that is such a good example to me. I really did luck out. He is such a hard worker and I am a better person because of him. Love you babe.

A Wonderful job that pays for my school and has great benefits. Also-- Brian's secure and great job
I am so glad to be going to school and growing as a person

New Blog!!

Well an absolutely horrible thing happened to me... first my computer crashes.. so this means that I lost everything on my blog!! IT means all of my pictures and everything are gone! so i guess that i will have to start over... hopefully this time I can keep up and stay current..

Starting with lately.. Thanksgiving was just great! We stayed here in St. George. The weather was just perfect. We started thanksgiving off with gingerbread pancakes at IHOP, and then we had a wonderful meal at his grandparents. It was great to be with his family, and to hang out with Brian's sister shannon. Great food, great company.

Next my mom got to come down and visit me. She ended up taking me shopping, and helped me put up all of my christmas decorations. Thanks mom! ALso, Brian got to go to the Mountains and cut down our Christmas tree!
